Beach 8 has a mat that provides access to the water’s edge. Beach wheelchairs are available to rent free of charge at Beach 8 at the Public Safety Building on a first-come, first-served basis (with proof of I.D.). The wheelchairs are offered during the regular swimming season from Memorial Day to Labor Day, 11 a.m. to 7 pm., and have a weight capacity of 350 lbs.
